Real Talks : An installation for Parques Tulum x Mycelium

Real Talks is more than an event, it’s an open platform for dialogue within the real estate industry, created to give voice to the people shaping one of the most active markets in the Americas.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Nopalitos Lagoon, this year’s edition gathered more than 500 professionals, developers, architects, and creatives to exchange ideas on the challenges and opportunities of building in the Riviera Maya.

Parques Tulum - Bamboo - Natural Dye Installation

A Creative Collaboration by Hypha Inc.

Our participation focused on designing an experiential installation that reflected the philosophy and materials behind Parques Tulum and Parque Nek Ha, a development by Mycelium Building. Within a compact 3x3 sqm space, we translated their ethos, sustainability, material honesty, and innovation, into a tactile, immersive experience. The installation featured a bamboo structure wrapped in a natural cotton curtain, hand-dyed with organic pigments such as spirulina and chlorophyll. Inside, visitors discovered a miniature Bio Dome, constructed with raw materials emblematic of the project: steel, concrete, henequen fiber, and bamboo.

Where Sustainability Meets Artistry

The result was a living sculpture: a space to pause, connect, and reflect on how design can express ecological consciousness. Guests enjoyed casual conversations and drinks with the team while exploring the project’s sustainable foundations and the artistry behind its creation.

Events like Real Talks highlight the importance of collaboration, creativity, and awareness in modern real estate. For us at Hypha Inc., it was an opportunity to turn architecture and materials into storytelling, a tangible expression of how the industry can evolve toward a more sustainable and inspired future.
